Bike infrastructure upgrades at Lewes Blvd & Hospital Rd.

In July 2016, the City of Whitehorse Engineering Department contacted representatives of the WUCC to seek input on an upgrade to the intersection of Lewes and Hospital Road.

When the new FH Collins school was built by the Yukon Government, YG installed a post that was intended to be a pedestrian activated button to help southbound cyclists get across the intersection and on to the multi-use trail on the east side of Lewes.  The City never commissioned the pedestrian activated button because they were not comfortable with the location of the post.  The solution proposed by the city is represented here:fhc_entrance_bike_ped_improvements
